At Black Stag Food, we believe that food is more than just a meal — it’s an experience. Led by Kayleigh, our private chef and caterer, we bring creativity, local produce, and a deep love of hospitality to every occasion, from intimate chalet dinners to elegant weddings in the French Alps and beyond.

Kayleigh grew up on a farm in Scotland, where she quickly became familiar with a bustling, joyful kitchen filled with large lunches and an “always room for more” mindset. Fresh vegetables from the garden and farm-raised meat inspired her to create delightful, memorable meals — a philosophy that still shapes every menu today.

After moving to London, Kayleigh trained and worked in busy restaurants before transitioning to the private sector, catering to shooting lodges, yachts, and sunny southern villas. This allowed her to combine her love of food with her passion for travel, crafting bespoke dining experiences for clients around the world.

Inspired by the Seasons, Rooted in the Alps

For the past 11 years, Kayleigh has built a successful catering business serving private chalets and chalet companies in Morzine, St Jean D’Aulps, and Les Gets, throughout both winter and summer seasons. Each menu celebrates the best of the region — fresh herbs, local vegetables, cheeses, and sustainably sourced meats and fish — bringing seasonal, vibrant flavours to every table.

When she’s not in the kitchen, Kayleigh tends to her expansive vegetable patch and cut flower garden, and cares for her flock of unique chickens — keeping her close to the ingredients and natural rhythms that inspire her cooking.
